Scientists have discovered a way to make the ability to learn to be better, that eating foods with the main content of cinnamon.
Researchers at Rush University Medical Center said this conclusion after they carried out tests involving a group of mice with poor study skills.
Once the rats are given a daily dose of cinnamon, the mouse brain that controls memory become more active, so they transform into a group of mice that is easy to receive new training.
Previous research has found that the lack of ability to learn can be caused by inadequate intake of protein is important for memory and learning, known as CREB.
However, mice with weak learning capacity showed an increase in CREB after a month of eating cinnamon every day, said study author Kalipada Pahan.
Basically, the body converts into sodium benzoate cinnamon that promotes healthy neurons.
Rats equipped with cinnamon able to navigate the maze and a half times faster than before, despite the exit continues to move in every test.
"We have successfully used cinnamon to change the biochemical, cellular and anatomical occur in the brains of mice," said Pahan.
"If these results are replicated in students with learning ability is weak, there will be tremendous changes."
