Drinking Water Can Lose Your Weight Fastly - A powerful weapon to keep the weight turns out there on the water. Thus the results of a study involving almost 10,000 adults.

"Those who are not drinking appeared to have a higher body mass index than enough to drink," said study leader Dr. Tammy Chang, assistant professor of family medicine at the University Of Michigan Medical School.

Also found, they are drinking too little water turned out to be 50 percent greater risk of obesity than those who drink enough.

The link between drinking and obesity has turned out to be quite strong, although researchers include other factors such as age, gender, and income.

"This study indicates fluid intake may affect weight, but has yet to prove it," said Connie Diekman, director of university nutrition at Washington University in St. Louis.

"The noticeable thing is eating a lot of water, either in the form of drinks or water present in fruits and vegetables seem to correspond to a healthier weight," said Diekman who was not involved in the study above.

For the purposes of the study, sufficient fluid intake or insufficient measured by urine samples were held for the US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2009-2012. More than 9,500 participants from ages 18-64 years old are involved in it. Nearly a third of it was less drinking.

The body mass index is a calculation of body fat based on height and weight. Overall, adults who drink enough to have a body mass index less than 28. Those who drink have an index of 29. Index 25 includes overweight while an index of 30, including obesity.

"Our study was a cross-sectional study, a brief portrait at a time," said Chang. Researchers have not been able to prove cause and effect.

"Maybe in overweight people have habits that prevent them from drinking," he said. For example, they might eat when in fact they are thirsty.

Drinking enough water did help us feel full. According to Diekman, that's why we so eat less and are not overweight. Or someone who is fairly drinking may have a healthy diet anyway.

The explanation why fluid intake associated with a healthy body weight is not included in the discussion of this study.

A simple way to measure the adequacy of fluid is quite easy. "Look at the color of urine. If colored clear like water, we simply water. If a dark yellow, it's a sign we need more water," said Chang.

Suggestions fluid requirements should also be included in weight loss advice. Fat people turned out to need more fluid than the more slender.

Coffee and caffeinated beverages are diuretics alias true cause urination, but these drinks do not seem to increase the risk of dehydration.

"But I do not recommend coffee as a drink to add to the fluid in the body," said Chang.

The study is published in the July-August issue of Annals of Family Medicine.
